  • What are the benefits of an Age Co Mobility stairlift?

Our Age Co Mobility stairlifts allow you to ascend and descend your staircase with ease - making it possible for you to stay in the home you love. The motor, battery, and gear are three components that ensure a stairlift runs smoothly. For more information on how stairlifts work, visit our stairlift advice hub here.

  • Why choose an Age Co Mobility stairlift?

Age Co Mobility stairlifts, provided by Handicare, are designed with a focus on reliability, aesthetics, safety, and long-lasting performance. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality equipment with modern innovations, featuring space-saving designs that are built to provide comfort and durability for years to come. All Age Co stairlifts, provided by Handicare, are fitted with our 'One Touch Alert' feature. With a simple press of a button, you can dial your emergency contacts directly from your stairlift. One Touch Alert connects you with assistance swiftly. This new feature is now available on all Handicare products in the UK and Europe.

  • How much does a stairlift cost?

The price of a curved stairlift or straight stairlift in the UK can vary depending on your staircase dimensions, chosen model, and any additional extras. You can also purchase reconditioned stairlifts, which are fully factory-refurbished models. Therefore, it isn't possible to provide you with an upfront cost. Handicare’s production skills spanning over 130 years, combined with feedback from satisfied customers and healthcare professionals and a stamp of approval from Age Co have enabled us to create a range of products to suit different needs and budgets. For more advice on stairlift costs, please see here.

  • Do Age Co Mobility stairlifts come with a warranty?

All Age Co Mobility stairlifts, provided by Handicare, come with a two-year warranty as standard.

  • Do you offer financing options for stairlifts?

Handicare, who are the manufacturers, do not offer financing options. However, there are grants. Age Co Mobility has put together a comprehensive advice guide, including any grants you may be entitled to and helpful information on stairlift finance. This guide looks at financial assistance such as VAT exemption and getting a stairlift from the council. We are often asked, 'Can I rent a stairlift?' or 'Can I buy a second-hand stairlift? We've put together a guide on renting or hiring a stairlift and buying used or second-hand stairlifts.

  • Which stairlift do I need?

Our trained engineers will be able to offer expert advice on which stairlift is suitable for you. There are two main types of stairlifts - straight or curved. Straight stairlifts can travel up and down stairlifts in a straight line (as the name suggests), while Curved stairlifts can navigate a curve in a stairlift (such as spiral stairlifts) with ease. Our helpful team are onhand to answer any questions you may have to help you make the right decision.

  • Which stairlift seat do I need?

Our trained engineers will be able to offer expert advice on which stairlift is suitable for you. There are two main types of stairlifts - straight or curved. Straight stairlifts are built to use on straight staircases and can only travel in a straight line (as the name suggests), while Curved stairlifts can navigate a curved staircase (such as spiral staircases) with ease. Our helpful team are on hand to answer any questions you may have to help you make the right decision.

  • How are stairlifts Installed?

The first step in the process is an initial FREE home visit so that an expert can assess your specific needs and, of course, your staircase. The second step is choosing the model for you, including any customisations you wish. The next step is receiving a free, no-obligation stairlift quote. Once you're happy, we'll order your stairlift and arrange for installation and testing. For more information about how a stairlift is installed, visit our detailed advice hub here.
