Naidex National conference to showcase mobility aid innovation

23rd April 2013

Naidex National is the largest disability, homecare and rehabilitation event in the UK, and big things are expected for the 2013 show, which begins on 30 April and ends on 2 May. As well as offering visitors the chance to check out the ranges of stairlifts, wheelchairs, sports equipment and more from various independent-living aid providers, many will be looking to attend the Tomorrow's World conference.

Naidex National will be attracting mobility aid providers, healthcare specialists and members of the public to Birmingham's NEC at the end of this month for the event. A number of conferences and seminars have been scheduled for visitors to attend, and over 300 exhibitors will be showcasing thousands of products which are designed to help make life easier, safer and more fulfilling for those who have mobility difficulties.

One of the highlights of the event is sure to be the Tomorrow's World conference, which will take place on 2 May in the Business Theatre of the NEC. Representatives from leading universities and various SMEs (small and medium enterprises) will be revealing the latest innovations in mobility aids that have been developed through extensive research and development.

Some of the sessions expected to be included in the Tomorrow's World seminars will cover technology progression and how this can help carers and health professionals. When it comes to innovation within the home environment, representatives from Sheffield Hallam University will be presenting a session entitled 'Bathrooms of the future' which is expected to draw the attention of those looking for walk in baths and showers to make bathing easier within the home.

The three-day event is expected to be packed full of informative and fascinating exhibitions, conferences and seminars, and thousands are expected to attend. Members of the public and healthcare professionals who wish to attend Naidex National 2013 can register online here before attending, but they can also register on the day if that is preferred. Representatives from a number of different product categories are set to attend the event, including specialists for transport, bathing, furniture, adaptation, communication, daily living aids, leisure, sports, charities and advice providers.

Naidex National 2013 looks to be a great event to attend for anyone who is interested in the future of living with mobility difficulties, whether they are on the lookout for advice or hope to see some of the products which are on the market now or could be in the near future.
